We make our ciders the way we feel ciders should be made: local, artisanal, and on a small scale. The apples are hand-picked in our old orchard near Warsaw. We experiment with blending different varieties, relying mostly on traditional heirloom cultivars. Our cider is fully natural – neither filtered nor pasteurized, with no sulfites, no colorants, and no preservatives. It ferments slowly at low temperatures and finally we let it re-ferment in the bottle, so it becomes dry and gently sparkling. Just the way we like it.

Our ciders

  • Antonówka

Antonówka is an early-season apple variety from Eastern Europe, known for its bright, summery character. Our Antonówka cider is crisp and refreshing, with distinctive citrus notes and a clearly apple-forward aroma. Light tannins and lively acidity are balanced by the gentle sweetness of old cultivars such as Kosztela and Zelazniak. The 2022 vintage was awarded the Grand Prix at the SISGA cider competition in Asturias.

  • Rajska Kronselka

A “New World cider” made from old apple varieties cultivated in Polish orchards since the 19th century (including Kronselka and Cesarz Wilhelm), with added crab apples picked from Ursynów backyards. The taste is clearly apple-forward with citrus overtones and hints of yellow plum and stone fruit pits.

  • Cortland

The most delicate cider from Two Brothers. Made from juice of the classic American Cortland apple, it undergoes an experimental two-stage fermentation (starting as wild, with cultured yeast added at a later stage). Expect notes of grapes and sweet stone fruits like pear and apricot.

    Funky: 2/5Dry: 1/5Bitter: 1/5
  • Cortland Blanche

For those who enjoy experimenting and discovering new flavors. This Cortland-based cider is fermented with modern Polish-grown hops (including Zula, Rody, and Zombie), bringing a bright, aromatic twist to the classic apple profile. There are distinct hoppy notes on the nose, while the palate brings tropical fruit, citrus, and the refreshing bitterness of a Belgian bière blanche. Awarded bronze medals at the International Cider Challenge in the UK in both 2024 and 2025 in the Flavoured Cider category.

  • Lipowy idared

This is the cider where our story begins — a silver medalist at the Pomona Cider Competition in 2022
and a bronze winner at the Nordic International Cider Awards in 2023. Fermented with linden honey from Pole Mokotowskie, a vast green park in the heart of Warsaw, it gains characteristic bittersweet and spicy notes, lifted by the floral aroma of linden blossoms. The result is a wine-like cider with a true Warsaw soul — bold, expressive, and unexpectedly lyrical.

  • Alwa naturalna

Alwa is a Polish apple variety known for its juicy, gently tart character. The apples we used for this cider come from an old orchard south of Warsaw. Harvested in late autumn 2024, they ripened until the first frosts and spontaneously fermented on wild yeast. Natural cider from Alwa is gently sparkling, with hints of pear and plum, and grape-like finish. The 2022 vintage was awarded silver medals at the cider festivals NICA 2023 in Riga and SISGA 2023 in Asturias while our 2023 batch received 3rd place in the International Cider & Perry Competition in Hereford, UK.

  • Boiken Spy

Heirloom Cider from Two Brothers — an orange-colored cider made from old apple varieties such as Boiken, Northern Spy, Kronselka, and Boskoop. It brings together refreshing acidity with the depth of tannins derived from crab apples and English bitter-sweets. On the nose: the sweetness of ripe melon and a hint of lavender. On the palate: pronounced notes of red and white currants. This cider was awarded a bronze medal at the International Cider Challenge 2025 in the UK.

  • Idared Żywiczny

Definitely the funkiest cider from Two Brothers. Inspired by Greek retsina, this Idared-based cider ferments with the addition of Aleppo pine resin sourced from organic Greek producers. Resinous on the nose, resinous on the palate — and yes, resinous on the finish as well. Best enjoyed well-chilled on warm summer afternoons. A cider that gets better with every sip.

  • Chaenomeles

Cydr Dwaj Bracia Chaenomeles is an experimental combination of the sweetness of Idared and Alwa dessert apples with tart, aromatic flowering quince fruits (chaenomeles). Floral and herbal on the nose, fresh, wild, and tannic on the palate, with a distinct lemon-grapefruit profile.

Meet the Brothers

The younger brother is the “spiritus movens” of the whole project — bringing engineering experience and laboratory precision to the production process.

The older brother has been fermenting since high school. He started in the cidery washing bottles but steadily climbed the ranks. In addition to logistics and organization skills, he brings spontaneity and experimental enthusiasm to the project.

In 2021, we began making cider at home — partly because we truly love cider, and partly because we enjoy creating things together. The idea of starting our own cidery emerged quite spontaneously, and as is often the case with great ideas, the debate over who came up with it first is still ongoing. We have been experimenting with fermentation since our high-school days. Along the way, extensive travel allowed us to discover the diversity and richness of Irish, English, and French ciders. This sparked our curiosity about what could be achieved using old, local apple varieties.
In 2022, we submitted a few bottles to the Pomona Home Cider Competition and were awarded a silver medal for a honey-infused cider. The award, along with tastings and blind tests conducted at the time, gave us the confidence that our cider was indeed as good as we believed. That’s when we decided to establish a micro-cidery — a place where we make the ciders we ourselves want to drink, experiment freely, spend time with friends, and, since June 2023, share Two Brothers cider with you as well.
